Mia & Mia Posey Doll

Tante Sonja from Netherlands gave Mia her first Posey doll that was named after her!! A young lady Carli makes one off posey dolls , Tante Son made contact with her in Australia of which Carli was happy to name one of her dolls after Baby Mia...Check her out on Minilala website !! First Yum Cha

As foodies, we had to take young Mia out for her first Yum Cha - well,









she was just a spectator on this outing - but
she was well behaved and seemed
to enjoy the food and the busy atmosphere
which is a good sign for future foodie
outings. Here is Dad and Mia at Kam Foo.

Aunty Kat also visited from Brissy - she came over
for a cuddle in the arvo - Uncle Delton with his
Dreads also came along with Tahlia (9 mth old bub)
with Mum (taking the pic) Tamber. Alot of activity today
for Baby Mia who slept like a log for the nite..

Mummy's Birthday & Meeting Opa Harris

Today is Mummy's birthday, Mia was due today as well ...but as we all know she decided to be an early bird and came 2 wks early (little rascal).

Also , Opa Harris arrived today for the first time to meet Baby Mia - it was a gorgeous day for all.

Daddy Paul bought Mummy a beautiful chocolate creme brulee cake from Pattisons..we had good food and cake with Tante Son (Netherlands). The cake is now a standing request every yr as it was so delicious!!! I would say this may have been the best birthday so far with a new bub and my family around me!! Totally Cloud 9 material here!

Oma makes Mia's 1st booties & Nursery

Oma Rita is completely smitten with young Baby Mia and has gone into a bootie frenzy. Here is a gorgeous picture with Oma Rita and Mia.






Also Mia modelling her new booties -Oma Rita made for her; she seems to enjoy wearing them lil' cutie pie.






The nursery has also had its final touches added to it. I will upload
a proper post to this entry shortly. We also did her first load of
washing - its so weird to see such tiny baby attire which makes
your heart melt.





The whole nappy changing thing was something I was a total
foreigner to, now its as much fun as changing shoes everday (NOT!!!) - here is a shot of the first Nappy Bag Chuck - what FUN!

Second Weigh in

Today Vicky from the early childhood center came to visit to check on her humble surroundings, ensure she isn't being bought up by any craze loonies . Vicky was absolutely lovely,wearing those blue surgical footsies on over her shoes which was great as the Chinese custom is no shoes in the house! how thought, how thoughtful that was..but maybe that's normal... (too much detail I know)..
Anyway, during this visit we did her second weigh in from the last 2.56 kg on the 5 Sept..poor Mia was not a happy camper! Check her out... scales shows a gain of 20 grams in 3 days! Wow....better than nothing; thank god for formula is all I can say.

Meeting Mama & Yeh Yeh

Mama and Yeh Yeh (Grandma & Grandpa Chan) came down to visit Baby Mia for the first time on Day 8 (8 days old)..they were excited in meeting Mia as was she. She was a well behaved young Chan - one that any Grandparent would be proud of (a biased Mum boasts!) - sleeping through all the excitement and chatter of visitors..well done Madame Mi!

Mia's passes her first test!!

Mia had her first test and passed! it was for her hearing, which was a relief...check out the pics as it looks like something from the 1970's or from the DHARMA Institute (JJ Abrams LOST)!

Mia's first few days

Following on from Babee-bump blog http://babee-bump.blogspot.com/, Mia's arrival was a sweet sweet gift of spring.

Daddy PC was able to stay with Mummy JS at hospital in one of the Double Suites at RNSPH, and was able to take part in Bathing classes. Oma Rita also was there visiting straight after birth to meet her new Grand daughter.

We had several visitors in hosp bearing gifts..how wonderful..see Aunty Jenn, Jacq and Meals

We spent 5 days in hosp which was bliss, last night we had a candlelight dinner the hospital puts on for couples for one last night of freedom whilst they look after bubs which was nice.
