Mia's First Early Xmas

Uncle Gid flew in from Darwin meeting Mia for the first time.
Another Big Feast was prepared to celebrate an early Xmas dinner inclusive of making up our own Xmas Stockings for the year, even Uncle Robbie was in town to celebrate. Opa Harris also flew down to be with the family. Kai-Ma also joined in the festivities, unfortunately Kai-Yeh was holidaying in Japan and couldn't make it. Oma-Rita was busy on the sewing machine and made Mia a lovely new Xmas dress for the night. Here are some pics ..I'm very proud of the home made Xmas stockings...(can't claim all glory for that one, of course Oma Rita did most of it..conceptually it was all my design..heheh)

Mia's first flight & meeting Tai Paw Paw

Mia experienced her first flight up to Brisbane to visit her darling Tai-Paw who was very ill but managed to smile so sweetly seeing her great grand daughter. Mia got to see Tai-Paw Paws beautiful paintings and we even managed to take a short video-movie which Mia can look back on when she is older. We do hope she gets some of Tai-Paw Paws artistic talents, just like Tante Son as well.

Mia 's maiden flight started with a whiney cry lasting about
15 minutes of uncontrollable crying, but soon settled.
Coming home started off much the same, with a total
snooze all the way home even during landing.
Will give her a break from flying for a bit me thinks...

Caught up with GA(Grand Aunty) Alice from the US
as well meeting Mia for thefirst time.
Also, Mia was able to meet GA Elizabeth
for the first time.

Just as we were leaving to fly back out, we caught up with Aunty Mel and Uncle Jono with darling Emma. However - we forgot to get the two munchkins a pic together - they will become penfriends in the yrs to come.

That concludes the Mia's maiden voyage to Brisbane at around 10 weeks old.

Signing off,
MM

Tante Son Arrives

Tante Son arrived today from far far away land "Netherlands", or otherwise known as "Holland", land of tulips and gouda cheese and wooden clogs. She came bearing gifts and clothes to spoil her new niece. Here is Tante Son doing her first feed.

Here is also a cute first burp with
Tanta Son whilst we had her first stay in the
city sleeping over in our first weekend away
from home. Here is a pic of bath time as well.

Tante Son bought over some really cool tights
which deserve a blog update.
See here..

Like true Chan_Sulu style, of course we had to take Mia
for her first Bill's experience tucking into Tante Son's favourite
Breakfast spot with "Hot Cakes" and "Corn fritters", delish!!
